News & Information

 VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED!

One of the best ways to help your Lodge succeed is by volunteering your time and expertise! There is always a need for our members to help out around the Lodge. Fill out our volunteer form and let us know that you are interested in volunteering at Bismarck Moose Lodge #302. Saturday soup & burger teams are always welcome as well as kitchen help during our Wednesday Steak Fry nights and dining nights on Fridays and Saturday nights. General maintenance help, such as lawn care, is welcome as well.

Successful Lodge events are oftentimes the result of the work volunteers put in that makes for a great experience for the event attendees! Have an idea for a golf tournament, a pool tournament or a dart tournament? Have an idea for a dance or a band at the Lodge? How about karaoke night at the Moose? Perhaps a special meal at the Moose? Take the initiative and form a member-comprised committee and attend a Membership Meeting. The Board of Officers will advise you on what would be needed to do the event in accordance to Moose International rules and local/state regulations and provide any insight that could make your idea even better! The Board of Officers will try to help out as much as possible during your event as well!

What is the Moose?

Benefits of being a Moose Member

By being a Moose member, you help support & give hope to children in need at Mooseheart the child city, a 1,000-acre community & school for children and teens in need.  Mooseheart has provided over 12,000 children a second chance, with quality education and vocational training on a campus environment that stresses stability, compassion and understanding.

We offer a special world of comfort and peace of mind to senior members and their spouses at Moosehaven, a retirement community located in Orange Park, Florida.  Residents enjoy activities, camaraderie, and a contentment that most agree, could not be found elsewhere.  To be eligible to stay at Moosehaven you must be at least 65 years of age and been a Moose member for 15 years.

We place a special emphasis on giving back to our communities through a wide range of service programs.  Whatever the need, we are there, giving our time and effort to make our communities better places in which to live.  Some of the things your Bismarck Moose Lodge does is giving free Dakota Zoo passes to your family, a Kids Christmas party, a Kids Halloween Party, a Kids Easter party, a summer family picnic, kids bowling & we also sponsor pool, dart, softball, & bowling teams. We also help support various school booster programs as well as good will causes in and around our community.  Member Appreciation Month is usually in December and we draw every day of the week for ham or turkeys. Additionally, we also have a Member Appreciation Dinner. We also host several events like dances, karaoke, tailgating for local & state sports teams with 7 big screen TV’s & one being a 110”.  Kids are welcome in the back hall of our Family Center.  We have dining Wednesday, Friday & Saturday with a full menu at very reasonable prices.

The general laws of the Moose states that all people entering a Moose Lodge must be a good standing member to purchase & consume goods, as well to gamble. Your spouse or significant other who is not a member is welcome in the Lodge home though! (Visiting sports teams can purchase goods but cannot gamble & must leave shortly after event is complete). Once becoming a member, you can enjoy various travel programs, insurance & entertainment discounts as well as health & wellness benefits that are outlined in a separate brochure. Bismarck Moose Lodge #302 is $60.00 for the initial year to join & $50.00 a year thereafter. It will pay for itself over & over in addition to helping support numerous causes. Once you become a member you also are eligible for Moose Rewards Program that adds points for various things such as signing new members, being on the board of directors, charities giving and more!

WATCH A SHORT VIDEO ABOUT THE MOOSE BELOW!

In addition to Mooseheart and Moosehaven, the Moose fraternity’s Heart of the Community effort is multifaceted with internally developed programs like Tommy Moose. Tommy Moose aids in helping children overcome fears and anxiety during times of stress. Donated to law enforcement, fire fighters and other emergency workers, Tommy Moose plush dolls are presented to children in various traumatic situations. The external focus of our service is directed towards many worthwhile national charities, a few of which are: Salvation Army, Safe Surfin’USA Foundation, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, and St. Jude.
